Andreesen on Obama
For those who don't instantly recognize his name, Marc Andreesen is largely credited with creating the first Web browser ever while he was a graduate student. He went on to found Netscape, then LoudCloud and is now running a social networking site called Ning. In short, Marc is geek royalty and he just wrote a great post on spending an hour and a half with Barack Obama right before the campaign started in earnest. It was a fascinating post, and I was heartened to see that Marc's personal encounter validated many of the reasons that I've chosen to support Obama. He also mentioned that he contributed to Romney's campaign, which makes me think he might with a post that I've been meaning to write for a while now. The working title is, "Why I'm splitting my ticket." Since I'm off work all week to be home w/ the new baby, maybe I'll actually finish writing it.
